Michael Tarling has lived in Christchurch for the last 25 years; a Chartered Construction Consultant he also has a keen interest in the Environment and Sciences.

He lives near Stanpit marsh with his wife and two children and is a keen birdwatcher. Michael is a member of Discover Science Christchurch a group of scientists and engineers hoping to open a new science attraction in Christchurch; Michael also is a STEM Ambassador and a member of local choirs and is proud to have appeared as the Genie of the Lamp in panto a few years ago.

My name is Tom Lane, I am married and have family in the area. I have been married for 52 years to Jane. We are retired and work for a locally-based cancer care charity. I have worked on a part time voluntary basis in local education, and several charities. I have run my own business as an agent supplying construction materials across the south of England. I have an interest in fine art especially local artists painting in the mid 20th century. I have six grandchildren educated locally they take up much of my time.

Mike Cox lives in Christchurch with his wife Fiona and family. Mike is a father and step father to 4 children and grandfather to 4 grandchildren. Both his step daughters were married in the Priory and 2 of his grandchildren were baptised there. Mike is a Chartered Accountant with 40 years’ experience in accountancy building up a national firm of Chartered Accountants from scratch.

As a former School Governor, and a technical college Governor Mike has a lifetime of commitment to education. As a London Borough Councillor and now a BCP councillor he has always worked hard for local residents in the area he lives.

I worked for National Air Traffic Services at Heathrow, Swanwick and eventually the NATS Training College at Hurn Airport. I have lived in Christchurch for 20 years and have two children and grandchildren who frequently return to the area.

I have been secretary for five years of the very pro-active Christchurch Citizens Association, which has well over 100 members. I volunteer weekly at the Macmillan Caring Locally Hospice and am a Dorset Devil Litter picker.
I attend Full Council Meetings bi-monthly, and am on two Christchurch Town Council (CTC) committees - Communities and Deputy Chair of Resources, I also represent the CTC at the Friends of Druitt Gardens meetings.

I have lived and worked with my family in Christchurch for over 40 years.

I have been involved with the Christchurch Community for much of this time. Chairing the local Residents Association, a School Governor at The Priory and Twynham Schools. I was also a Governor at the Royal Bournemouth Hospital for 10 years. I am a Trustee of the Women’s Breast Care Fund (Tulip Appeal) who have been raising funds to help support ladies with Breast Cancer for many years.
