Vivienne Charrett

Jumpers and St Catherines

Vivienne Charrett is a relatively new resident of Jumpers and St Catherines, having moved here to be with her daughter and family, including new baby and two dogs (Large Bernese Mountain Dog and small Cocker Spaniel). Her working life was within the Lighting Industry, working for Thorn Lighting, Philips and GE. More relevant experience, though, is of 16 years as a Parish Councillor in Hertfordshire, including terms as Chair of Planning, Chair of the Parish Council, and Chair of the local Festival, and also the local Almshouses Association. Having spent 5 years working on a Neighbourhood Plan there, she hopes to be able to share some of the lessons learnt in this complicated process, hopefully to ease the pathway for a plan for Christchurch!

Since moving, she has joined the committee for the Christchurch Carnival, and although cancelled for 2020, hopefully to return bigger and better in 2021.

She is looking forward to meeting many residents through this process and learning as much about Christchurch as possible.
