Janet Bronwen Abbott


Janet settled in Christchurch 23 years ago, having lived in London, Lincoln, Nottingham and briefly the US. She has four sons, one is living in Burton. Janet has travelled extensively and worked as a florist and a carer, which she greatly enjoyed. Janet says she is honoured to have served on the Christchurch Borough Council as ward Councillor for Grange Ward 2015 – 2019, and now as a Town Councillor for Grange Ward. She's a supporter of 'Keep Christchurch Special.' Janet is a member of the CIA group, and is a trustee for the Mudeford Wood Community Centre and is also a 'hands on' trustee for The Arc in Somerford and supports the Adapt Café, which helps dementia, Alzheimer and Parkinson's sufferers and their carers.
